Katie's 21st Birthday

Keeping with the Final Fantasy theme from last year and as she is cosplaying Rosa later this year, I thought I would make her a card featuring Rosa. Maybe she will put them all in a picture frame one day! For inspiration I chose a sketch from the Sketch N Stash Challenge Blog and am entering it into Challenge 110. The papers I've used are Papermania's Capsule Collection 'Heather' which I've had for a while but not used very much. I finished it with a gold fabric yo-yo; I so love making those, they are so pretty! I think she liked her card but enjoyed the Devil's Food birthday cake even more!!!

New Year, New Challenge!

Not going to make any promises to myself this year about blogging but hopefully will be more active than last year! Spotted this challenge on Charmed Cards and Crafts blog so thought I would enter this card I made recently for a friend's daughter's 18th - she sooooo loves shopping! Just posted in time I hope!

Katie's birthday

It was my daughter, Katie's, birthday yesterday. Her main hobby is cosplay and she is currently making an outfit to dress as 'Lightning' from the Final Fantasy RPG. So I decided to make her a card based on the character. I made a cosplay card for her a couple of years ago when she made a 'Pirate France' outfit which, I think I'm right in saying, is a character from Hetalia. Sorry, you can tell I'm not that really genned up on the details.
I used the following blog challenges for inspiration and would like to enter my card into their challenges:
Sketch Saturday Week #201 - A lovely sketch from Cor that really suited the image
Daring Cardmakers 'Material Girl' - I have made a fabric yo-yo embellishment from a scrap of metallic silver fabric that really helped to set the image.
I was really pleased with the way the card turned out and more importantly, Katie loved it too!
